1943 Rockford Peaches: Only 2 of these original four teams played all 12 years of the league's existence. They were Rockford, IL. and South Bend IN. These two cities deserve recognition for their loyalty and support to their women's baseball teams.

Dorothy Kamenshek, better known as "Kammie", enjoyed a very successful career with the AAGPBL. Kammie was a rock-solid left-handed first baseman for the Peaches . Playing in all but 2 seasons for Rockford, she left the league in 1952, and returned to join her teammates for her final year in 1953.
