Profile Biography
One of the first four players signed to a contract, "Edie" was one of the league's top 20 all-time players. Perlick was a brilliant and heady leftfielder. She had awesome speed on the bases, stealing 481 bases in her eight year career. At bat she was a force to be reckoned with. Edie's lifetime average was .240 with 761 hits which led to 445 runs scored, including 18 home runs. She also drove in 392 runs in her career which ended in 1950. Before joining the league she played for champion Rockolas in 1941. She went to school at DeKalb and majored in physical education. She also enjoyed tennis, golf, swimming, riding and bowling. She also played competitive volleyball and basketball.
Edie played her entire career with her beloved teammates in Racine, WI.
