Josephine Lenard Seasonal Batting Record
Josephine "Jo" Lenard was a ten-year veteran outfielder. She played in Rockford, IL., Muskegon, MI, Peoria, IL, Kenosha, WI, and South Bend, IN, from 1944 through 1953.
Over her professional career with the AAGPBL, Jo played in 1000 games and had a lifetime batting average of .221 with 756 hits for 3420 turns at bat. She was a All-Star in 1947 as a slick fielding outfielder that was noted for her incessant bubble gum chewing and her speed on the basebaths. During the off-season Jo was a commercial artist and she enjoyed skating and swimming.
