Profile Biography
Jo's close friend wrote a Memorial for Jo. She states that the years she played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League were one of the best things that happened to her in her life.
Jo is remembered by her students from years of teaching. She had a profound effect on many of their lives.
After she retired, she moved out west and took up a rural life raising animals and selling them. She took in all kinds of strays and nurtured them to health. She loved working in her yard, feeding the birds, and growing flowers.
Jo became an avid golfer, joined a country club, and eventually became a champion, winning two annual memorial tournaments and four club championships. She loved watching the old movies and sharing old memories with her many close friends.
