Betty Jean played in less than ten games for the South Bend Blue Sox. After leaving the league, she played 8 years with the Savanna, Illinois All-Star team and 5 years with the Lakewood, Ohio Rangers. She had taken up golf and played in two leagues.
BETTY J. RUSYNYK (nee McFadden), age 88, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013. Beloved wife of 66 years to Michael; loving mother of Gary (Marti), David (Connie), and Lynn; cherished grandmother of Sanya, Kristen, Megan, Alexander, and the late Taryn; dear sister of Raymond, Marilyn, Sharon, Maureen, Gary, and the late Gordon. Betty is a former member of the South Bend Blue Sox in the A.A.G.P.B.L. Funeral Service Friday, April 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Interment Woodvale Cemetery.
