Peggy's one year in the League was spent with the Muskegon Lassies and the South Bend Blue Sox in 1948. Although she made few game appearances that season, she recalls Spring Training with the Lassies in Opa Locka, Florida as well as exhibition games in Havana, Cuba and in Miami. Peggy retired in 1981 as a Master Chief after 26 years of military service in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and the U.S. Navy Reserve.

Peggy L. Fenton passed away June 16, 2013.  She was a dear friend of Martha Neville and Carol Reed and a longtime employee of BP Amoco Oil. She was a former player for the Muskegon Lassies and the South Bend Blue Sox in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Peggy retired as Master Chief after 26 years of service in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the Navy Reserves. In lieu of flowers donations to the SPCA, 510 N. LaSalle Chicago, IL. 60610 would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday 3 - 9pm at Curley Funeral Home 6116 W. 111th St. Chicago Ridge. Funeral Friday.  Family and friends will meet directly at Sacred Heart Church 8245 W. 111th St. Palos Hills. Mass 11:30am. Interment Private.
