Mrs. Marie June (Gilmore) Hawton, 57, died at 11:25 a.m. January 6, 1980, in Methodist Medical Center, where she was admitted January 4.

She was a floral designer for more than 25 years. For the last 13 years, she was a designer at the Flower Box.

Born June 13, 1922, in Peoria to Fred and Bessie (Shoff) Gilmore, she married Donald Hawton Dec. 19, 1953 in Peoria. He survived her. Also surviving were four brothers, a sister, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister.

Services were held at Davison-Fulton Western Chapel. Burial was in Lutheran Cemetery.
