Kay and Dorothy (Shinen) Cameron were a sister duo in the AAGPBL in 1945, and both played for the Kenosha Comets. Kay played third base, and Dorothy played outfield.
After a year in the AAGPBL, Kay switched to Chicago's National Girls Baseball League, a professional league that played by softball rules. She played for the NGBL's Bloomer Girls in 1946 and the Bluebirds in 1947. Kay was known as the "Blonde Bombshell," and Marty McManus, her Bloomer Girls manager, described her as tops in her position.
