Roy Hobbs Baseball - Women's World Series November 17-19 Ft. Myers, Florida
6 teams from the United States and Canada will compete in this national championship tournament November 17-19, 2018 in Ft. Myers, Florida.
These are veteran, skilled ball players who have paid their own way with local support from their communities. Teams from around America and Canada have kept women’s baseball alive for the past 25 + years. Some members of both the U.S. and Canadian National Team's are also part of this event and have participated in tournaments on various teams during the summer. These ball players come from all walks of life including teachers, parents, professionals in many varying fields, including city officials and members of the military. They are regular women who just happen to LOVE Baseball. Summer is the time for their teams to prepare for a fast-moving schedule of competitive baseball which includes their regular League play and culminates in this competitive national event.
Baseball is one of the greatest sports in America and these women follow their love of the game. They support the movement today to give younger women the opportunity to learn and play baseball. They offer opportunities for younger players in their communities and are building confidence, and activities that encourage better health and social skills by organizing and supporting baseball for girls in America to become an equal opportunity sport.
