Blanche Schachter died March 31st, 2010 at 86. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Hunter College.

Blanche was a retired NYC schoolteacher. In retirement, she was a tennis coach, tennis instructor and dog trainer.

Blanche had been a catcher for the Kenosha Comets (AAGPBL) and the LI Jewels (AGSL). She is survived by her niece Paula and her nephew Barry. A graveside service will be at New Montefiore Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY TODAY Thursday April 1st at 1:00 PM. The Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home is assisting the family.
