Dorothy KluppingHistory

Team Position Uniform #
1944 Racine Belles Pitcher 2

After her year in the AAGPBL, Dorothy switched to Chicago's National Girls Baseball League, which was actually a professional softball league.  She played for the NGBL's Sparks in 1945, and developed a reputation for a fiery demeanor.  Herb Gattis, an Esquire Magazine writer in Toronto, Canada, called her his "favorite fastballer" because he got a kick out of when she trashed talked opponents before and during games and made her disdain known when umpire calls did not go her way.
