Elizabet Mae “Betty” Degner, 62, died Friday, July 30, 1993 at a San Diego hospital.

She was born Dec. 27, 1930 in Amboy, IL, and had lived in San Marcos for seven years.  She was a reservations supervisor fo American Airlines for 30 years.  She was very active in Lakeview Mobile Estates Homeowners Association since 1988.  She served as the secretary and was elected as a chairwoman.  She was active in golf, softball, and bowling.

 She was survived by her sister, Barbara R. Young, a niece, Kim L. Putnam, and a nephew Kirk L. Henson, all of Escondido.

 Memorial services were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1993 at Allen Brothers’ Mortuary, San Marcos Chapel, with the Rev. David Plank officiating.  A private internment took place.

 Arrangements were entrusted to Allen Brothers’ Mortuary, San Marcos.
