Sarah Lonetto, also known as "Tomato," was a rare switch-hitter, and she played for the Bomberettes in her hometown of Detroit from 1944-1946, prior to joining the AAGPBL. She was also part of the group that went on the famous spring training trip to Cuba in 1947, and she joined the South American tour group in 1949. Toward the end of 1949, she also played with Parichy's Bloomer Girls in Chicago's National Girls Baseball League (NGBL).
